Btw, i have Lxde spin version of F18, this might be a problem.
The article clearly states "How-to Install VMWare Tools on Linux Fedora 18 Gnome3 ..." so that could be an issue... I can't say since I haven't installed 18 yet... just ran from ISO Image so far.
