Re: Fusion 5: Can't get bridged networking to work

This problem just appeared for me. I'm still running Fusion 4.1.4. My guest OS is Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. NAT networking works, but I need bridged networking. When I enable bridged networking, the NIC gets an IP address and is connected for a few seconds. Then the networking ceases to work, and the guest's CPU goes up to 100% utilization, in kernel mode, as indicated by Task Manager. After a while, the guest's CPU calms down. The guest can ping itself by IP address but it cannot reach anything else on the network.

I've been using bridged networking in Fusion since 2008, and this problem arose a couple of days ago. I'm trimming down the guest's features, piece by piece, to see if it's a Windows problem, but I don't see how it could be, since NAT networking works just fine.

What can I try?
