I meant, if he put his Windows 7 VM in NAT mode,  the Windows 7 VM will have the same network access as his Mac OS X.

I'm not sure what you want to do with your MAMP, if you want to acce the files,I think you could also using "shared foldes" of your VM. It could be enabled by "VM settings -> Sharing", then you add your directory on your Mac, the MAMP environment, as a shared folder. And if you want to using Windows 7 as a teasing machine to your web service, just leave the VM in NAT mode. It will have the same network environment as your Mac.
