You can try toggling the bit... that is select and save a different choice and then go back and set the real choice wanted. This sometime fixes things although not necessarily always.
Also, when I power the printer on, it does show up in tool bar where I can connect or disconnect.
As long a a Flag remains in the Device Manager for the USB device it doesn't matter whether or not the device can be connected/disconnected, prompted or otherwise. Windows Device Manager needs to be free of Flags for all hardware to function properly!
