Hi WoodyZ,

you are right, unfortunately.

The Support for DirectX 9.0EX with Aero and OpenGL 2.1 is very limited with Fusion 5.0, compared to Fusion 3.0 or 4.0.

But in the Display Preference Panel the "Accelerate 3D Graphics" switch is available on system are not supported yet too.

On my GMA X3100 MacBook the switch is available since Fusion 3.0, with Fusion 2.0 the switch was always "off", can't switch to "on".

But with Fusion 5.0 it doesn't work, I got

"mks| I120: MKS-SLC: failed to start svga3d vmiop to render 3d."

and the warning

"No 3D support is available from the host. The 3D features of the virtual machine will be disabled."

all the time I switch to "on", after I start a Windows XP or 7.

On my GeForce 320M MacMini the switch doesn't work too.

Nice to know the Fusion 5.0 Preference Panel contain useless switches.

With regards,

Lutz
