You asking for trouble making incremental backups of a split virtual hard disk and it is not a recommended best practice either! Just an FYI.... It is a known fact that Time Machine is not 100%...

please re-read my question. I'm not using Time Machine, and before the last fusion update it worked very well backing up only the splits affected by files system changes in the VM.Ragards, Fabio.

Strange, it worked for me in prevoius versions. I use Carbon Copy Cloner to do backups of the VM (it use rsync) and it worked well so far.It only backup the modified slice, until now.
