André had two files in the vmdk-files.zip file, "Virtual Disk.vmdk" for a "twoGbMaxExtentSparse" type virtual hard disk and "Windows Server 2008 R2 x64.vmdk" which happens in this case to be a monolithicSparse type virtual hard disk not a "twoGbMaxExtentSparse" type virtual hard disk. I hope hope you did not replace the existing "Windows Server 2008 R2 x64.vmdk" file with the "Windows Server 2008 R2 x64.vmdk" file from him without first making a backup because if you did you overwrote the binary monolithicSparse type virtual hard disk file with an ASCII Text Disk DescriptorFile that is normally embedded in the binary monolithicSparse file and that action will certainly cause the loss of the "Windows Server 2008 R2 x64.vmdk" the binary monolithicSparse type virtual hard disk file in this particular case. If the "Windows Server 2008 R2 x64.vmdk" was a "twoGbMaxExtentSparse" type virtual hard disk then it would have been okay and I'm sure André accidentally overlooked this as he is normally very good and would not make this type of mistake.
I really hope you made a backup if you did replace the "Windows Server 2008 R2 x64.vmdk" file!... Need you to collect support information again and attach the .tgz file so we can see the current state of things.
