iMac hard drive died, restore from a drag & drop recovery file

I just had the hard drive on my iMac replaced since it had died.  Before they removed the bad one they were able to recover files and used a drag & drop method to copy them to an external hard drive.  Under my iMac Documents there is a folder labeled "Virtual Machines".  Does anyone know how I go about a proper transfer from here?  I'm hoping that somehow I can restore from these files and that they may still contain the Windows 7 Ultimate content since I can not find those disks to start from scratch.  FYI - I had originally installed Fusion 3 and have those disks.  In November I downloaded the upgrade to version 5 but have no disks since that was a direct download from the website.

Any input you might have would be greatly appreciated since sifting through these mountains of reinstalling programs and performing updates is quite a lengthy process.

Thanks!

Karen
