Single Window as Default View

Greetings Fusion friends,

I have a lab at a university running VMWare Fusion 4 with shared access to a Windows 7 virtual machine. This lab is used by computer science students who need to develop applications on both Mac and Windows platforms. Because this VM is shared amongst multiple users, the virtual machine tends to take on the view of whatever the last user set it to, so if Jill logs on and starts up the VM in full screen mode, then the VM will show in full screen mode for Bob afterward. When this happens, users tend to forget to log out of both the VM and OS X, which is not very good for FERPA compliance.

The professors in this lab have requested that Fusion always open the VM's in Single Window view, rather than Full screen. I have searched up and down for a setting somewhere in the plist file, but everything I have tried doesn't work. Does anyone have any ideas?

TL;DR -> Is there any way to make a VM always default to single window view?

Thanks for any help!

UbiquitousChris
