Hi Wil,
- Thks for your reply.
- Noted -> "But no I don't think that windows updates are causing the issue..."
- Noted -> "...it seems more like that it is some issue on the host side as they are disabling a fusion feature (loading a list with recently used virtual machines) on the right click menu under the Fusion icon in the dock." I wasn't sure what this function did. Makes sense now. They said that the engineering team will continue to work on this problem to find a permanent solution. I hope they are not just saying this to blow me off...
- I'll post updates on this page as I receive them from VMW. This way, others can see a possible solution, should they have a similar problem.
- In the meantime, my VM seems to be freezing after a few minutes of use. It freezes for a minute +/-, then unfreezes. I had this problem when I purchased the upgrade from Fusion 3 to 4. After a month of that nonsense, I went back to ver 3 with NO problems. When Fusion 5 came out, I bought it and upgraded from 3 to 5. I did NOT have the freezing problem every day, like with ver 4 (maybe every blue moon). Now, since the "workaround" has been applied, the freezing is EVERYDAY, shortly after bootup and some use. Any thoughts/ideas/solutions?
Appreciate your reply,
Michael
