VMWare Tools for Player 5.0.1 still not working.
I think the kernel support for OEL or RHEL 5.5 has dropped on VMWare Tools 5.0.0 and above.
I had to downgrade to VMWare Player 4.0.5 that supports Windows 8 and Server 2012.
