After retrieving your License Key and storing it in a safe place, then if you need to manually uninstall VMware Fusion have a look at: Manually uninstalling VMware Fusion (1017838)
BTW... The Virtual Machines you created under VMware Fusion 3.x will work with VMware Fusion 5.x!
