If you're referring to a message "Choose where you would like to connect ..." as shown in the image below, then you should have chosen "Connect to Windows" in order to backup your Quicken directly from Windows. Otherwise if you connect it to the Mac then you need set the USB Drive as a VMware Shared Folder or share it directly from OS X. Obviously the easiest thing to do with a USB Flash Drive, in a use case such as this, is to connect it directly to the Windows Virtual Machine.
BTW If this reply is on point then there is no need to upload the .tgz support bundle!
