Since the term "access" hasn't been contextually defined I'm not going to list every single way a Virtual Machine can be accessed since many may not be at all relevant to what one really needs!
What explicitly and specifically are your needs!?
Other then that I'll say, generally speaking, one can access a Virtual Machine just like one can two separate Physical Machine on the same Subnet although that is not necessarily the limit.
