Thanks Michael! The information bundle seems to have all the information we need for now.
It looks like the application publishing feature of Fusion has gone crazy and published a large number of application proxies to make the applications available inside your Windows XP virtual machine available more directly from your Mac. There are over 5,000 of them, and many of them are duplicates, so our effort to compute the disk space used by your virtual machine will end up exploring over 100,000 folders... That's going to take a while, particularly when the VM is stored on a network drive.
Can you try going into Settings> Default Applications and removing the checkmarks from both of the application-sharing options? That might even take care of the problem, if we're lucky, or it'll at least stop it from getting worse. I haven't used that feature before, so I might have to forward this issue to some other folks here to figure out the underlying cause.
