Yes and obviously I meant it as in "2. Nonsense; confused and incoherent talk." since you start off by wanting to "export" to a "VMDK Sparse" which makes one logically assumes you have either a monolithicFlat or twoGbMaxExtentFlat disk and why I gave to the appropriate vmware-vdiskmanager command.  You then point to what one might logically assume is a VirtualBox VM as it's stored where VirtualBox VM's get stored.  When all a long all you wanted to do is change from a twoGbMaxExtentSparse to a monolithicSparse disk and this is obviously done in the Virtual Machine Settings!

 

What a waste of time!
