Only six such files. Removing them and rezipping the folder makes the file just slightly smaller (276 MB)...
Could you run Disk Inventory X on the vm-mm-dd-yy.nnnn folder on the Desktop to see what files are rather large and let me know what you find.
It's odd if this means trouble with VMware Fusion, since my other guests runs without issues and have done so for a long time. It must be this newly created VM that is the cause... Question is, is it beyond saving?
Without reviewing the support information I cannot say whether or not it's beyond saving however it might just be resolving a disk type issue and or mass storage controller issue. The reality is I'm not going to waste time making arbitrary recommendations to resolve this at this point and or ask a bunch of questions that I can glean the answers so much faster and easier from the support bundle then typing it all here.
