Hey There!
Just about the sole use for Windows under Fusion on my iMac is to run some sophisticated software that decodes the many different data systems found on shortwave radio.
I was watching some fax pictures from Australia this morning and noticed that there are random jumps in the clock which the decoding software uses to synchronize timing.
Collecting a fax picture such as the one below takes around 5 minutes (yeah, this is Old Skool LOL) and note that during that time, the clock "hiccups" 5 times at inconsistent intervals and by different amounts as evidenced by the fax shifting to the left each time and losing alignment. I touched nothing on the machine (Fusion or OSX) during the time the fax was captured but other programs were running in each environment at the time of course.
Has this problem been noted before? Does anyone have any ideas as to why the clock hiccups like this? Is it Fusion, Windows, OSX or the decoding software? How could I test?
Cheers
