Now thats strange...not sure why its reverting... Pls go to vm settings> general .. Whats the os name displayed?

==========

note: the reasons am asking you to check for keyboad settings and general settings was to troubleshoot special keywords issue reported in OP.

For caps lock , try this.

1. Turn caps lock ON on your Mac keyboard.

open textedit on host and confirm the letters typed are in upper case.

2. Now open textedit on guest mac server.

type few letters.

If they are in upper case, no further changes required.

if they are in lower case , click on virtual machine menu > send key  > caps lock.

Now when you type letters, the case must be lower.

Now, turn off Caps lock on your Mac key board.

On host computer no doubt letters will be in lower case.

Confirm if the letters typed in guest are also lower case.

Once above test is done, try to unlock any settings on guest which require you to enter admin credentials.
