VMware provides a thin print driver to allow the guest to use printers virtually from the host, but not vice versa. It is atypical for any virtualization product to allow this to work in reverse. It is a matter of security that the host and guest are unaware of each other except for the very few connections that the hypervisor allows.
OS X cannot use samba print shares. However OSX is unix and can use LPD print shares which Windows can also do. It will be even simpler to use Bonjour printing which is built in to OSX and has a driver package available for Windows.
