Folders can be shared either through the VMware Shared Folders feature or via Sharing in OS X however IIRC Fonts under Windows need to be installed in the C:\WINDOWS\Fonts folder. So the only thing sharing a folder is going to accomplish it to make it easier to copy the files to Windows.
