You are absolutely right!
The "Virtual Machine - Settings - System Settings - Keyboard & Mouse" showed the "Profile - Default" selected.
It was fixed as you said, selecting instead "Mac Profile".

BTW, I never changed such profile, as far as I can remember... In fact, I had a VM that worked OK and then copied it to another Mac and there the trouble started. Somehow VMware Fusion seems to have changed such setting, now fixed thanks to your great advice.
