Hello,
Recently, I have developed problems with my Robohelp 9 program running under Windows 7 in VMWare Fusion 4.1.4. Robohelp is consistently becoming nonresponsive. Occasionally, it even hangs up on opening a project. I'm not sure if anything in my configuration has changed, but this is happening with a RH9 project that I have been in often with no issues. Is anyone having similar problems? What information would be helpful for me to post to help get some direction on resolving this? For starters, here is the setup I have:
MacBook Pro 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 with 8Gb RAM, OS X 10.6.8
VMWare Fusion 4.1.4 installed.
Windows Virtual Machine with Window 7 Professional (Service Pack 1)
VM Settings are configured to use 1 processor core and 4Gb of memory
Adobe RoboHelp 9.0.2.271 (no updates found)
My RH9 project is on my local system and not on a network drive.
Sometimes when it hangs up, it gives a message that it's stopped working, but most times it just becomes non-responsive. However, it doesn't show "Not Responding" in the task manager. In this case, the only way to get it to close is to End Task through the Task Manager and then it says it's not responding.
When I bring the application up after it's done this "hangup" thing, the topic (or baggage file) I deleted is now back, but the icon has an "x" on it. I can delete it again and it disappears, but then the app hangs up and it happens all over again.
Once the app has become nonresponsive and I close it, other things do not function properly when the app is started again. I can't generate WebHelp. I can't close a project. There are many other actions that don't seem to work. However, I can delete a topic, but it will show up again after the app hangs again.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions that will help me resolve this issue.
