problem with Win8 network access under fusion 5

I'm relatively new with Fusion.

I'm running Win8 Pro installed thru Bootcamp then Bootcamp Fusion.

While using Fusion, my Win8 doesn't seem to have access to my local network such as NAS, or the web front end to the NAS.    If I boot into Win8, it works fine and when I look at Windows Network, I can see all the local computers, etc.that I can't see under Fusion.

What am I doing wrong?

Fusion 5.   Mountain Lion on MPB-Retina.   

I was originally running Win8 consumer preview.   I deleted the win8 partition and started over (it wasn't large enough to do the upgrade).   I moved the old VM to trash and created a new one from the Bootcamp partition.
