Hey Kc, this looks like permissions issue. Go to Macintosh HD >Library >Preferences >and check the permissions on the VMware Fusion folder. It should look like the same provided in the screen shot. Basically here it does not have sufficient pirviligies to write within the folder, also ensure that after you provide permissions, click on the gear icon in the same window and select apply to enclosed items as well.
If not try uninstalling and reinstall Fusion using App Cleaner(Freeware). This will completely remove Fusion from Mac even the reduce files. While you are doing this make sure you have the license key written down, because when you install it again it would ask for the license key. You can get the key from the menu itself. VMware Fusion Menu >License. Removing Fusion will not delete your virtual machine.
