We are using Outlook for Mac as our default email client on our Mac.
For one of our buisness application, we are forced to use VMWare Fusion or Parallels to be able to run the application (since it is written for windows only).
Now the thing is that this application, it can create emails by the use of MAPI (not mailto links).
What we want is for this application, to create emails that will open in the host systems email client (Outlook for Mac). But this we have not been able to find a solution to. We have set the settings for the vm to default open mail in Macs Outlook, but that only works for mailto links. We have also looked at the default applications inside the VM's OS(Win 7) settings, but it seems as we cannot select mapi for the host application. Only mailto links and other hyperlinks...
Do anyone know if what we are trying to do is possible i VMWare? Or maybe with some 3rd party plugin? Or maybe with some other software like parallels?
