I upgraded from Fusion 2 to 5 on a MacBook Pro that had Win XP SP3. Downloaded and installed the Win 8 upgrade package. Changed the OS to Windows 8 but was unable to get to the Internet. Thanks to a post from WoodyZ, I got that resolved this morning by adding a line to the .vmx file.
Another problem I need to resolve is that with this VM/Win8 combination, I cannot see the shared folders on my Mac that I used to be able to see with the old setup. Any suggestions as to what is needed to make those folders appear when I bring up the Windows file explorer?
