I actually found a solution after searching through some web pages! For future reference, if anyone has the same problem, this is what i did...

Update the Windows network adapter in Device Manager:

  1. Start the virtual machine.
  2. Click Start, right-click Computer, and click Manage.
  3. Select Device Manager from the left pane.
  4. Click the arrow to expand the Network Adapters section.
  5. Right-click your Ethernet Controller in that list (name may vary) and click Update Driver Software.
  6. Select Search automatically for updated driver software. If the driver is not automatically detected:

    1. Repeat step e and select Browse my computer for driver software.
    2. Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
    3. Select VMware Accelerated AMD PCNet Adapter Version: 2.0.3.6 for Windows XP and Select Intel Pro/1000 MT Network Connection for Windows Vista and 7.

  7. Click Close.
  8. Restart Windows.

Worked perfectally for me, and i'm now able to connect to the internet!

And this is the web page that i found the solution...
