Unable to find the system volume - But it's there!

I'm getting the dreaded 98% failure when the configuration starts. I've read every forum and KB article I can find and I think I have done everything I can in addition to setting the world record for failed conversions.

I've created the ultimate boot CD so when I run the converted machine and boot from the CD I can see the C: drive there and it's an NTFS partition and everything seems to be there as far as I can see. I am converting a Dell with XP SP3 with the usual three partitions. I only select the C: volume to convert and I choose the buslogic option. My source boot.ini points to partition 2 but that gets changed to partition 1 on the VM and apparently works because I can see the volume when using UBCD4Win. I'm running the 5.01 converter and Fusion 5 on a new iMac.

(whine) I've already spent three very long days trying to get this working. This is what I bought Fusion for and also how I justified buying an iMac instead of a new windows box. The alternatives are not pretty.

I uploaded relavent files for your perusal.

Appreciate the help.
