Whether or not a VMware Shared Folder is marked as Read Only or Read & Write in the Virtual Machine's Settings it will appear as in the image you posted. If you actually cannot write to a file then check and make sure is is not set Read Only in the Shared Folders setting in the Virtual Machine's Settings. If it is set to Read & Write in the Virtual Machine's Settings and you cannot write to a file then the only suggestion I have other then uninstalling/reinstalling VMware Fusion and or VMware Tools it to make sure the permissions on the OS X Filesystem of the target VMware Shared Folders are not set to Read Only.
