I've been using the license from a decommissioned server of one of my Clients, with their permission of course, however for that price I like having my own copy and license.

To the other poster:  I'm sure Apple waited a long time to try to force folks to upgrade.  If they'd done that early on, there'd be more laggers than there are.  And since 10.6 is out of support now, they didn't want the PR issues associated with a high number of folks running an out of date OS and having problems.

I have mixed feelings about maintaining/not maintaining backwards compatibility however I do believe at some points along the way backwards compatibility needs to be left behind and one needs to embrace the leading edge, not necessarily the bleeding edge.  Obviously virtualization enables one to do may things, one of with is deal with legacy OSes/Applications however I think Apple did far to little to help those that needed to continue to use Rosetta and or had Software that wouldn't work properly on 10.7 or later.  So while the $19.99 price for Mac OS X Snow Leopard Server 10.6.3 sure beats the original retail price nonetheless Apple is just capitalizing on its unsold copies and using this special to enhance their bottom line! Which as a stockholder I'm fine with because Apple already lowered the pricing structure with 10.7 compared to the old pricing so if they can get rid of the old software and generate revenue for something that otherwise is sitting on the shelf and before long would be trashed (literally) I'm all for it!
