I called the 1-800... number and was told it was not Server it was Client!
It's worth calling again to get a different sales rep. Or else wait a few days to see whether I actually receive Server.
Okay, looks like the third time was the charm... First two Reps were in lock step (and wrong!) and the third was on target.
My "Your order is being processed" email says "Mac OS X Server v10.6 Snow Leopard - Unlimited Client License $19.95" and with shipping and tax it's "$25.43". There was no Part Number in the email so I had the Rep give it to me and it's "MC588Z/A". BTW The part Number for "Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard" (Client) is "MC573Z/A". He also confirmed that it is a special order by phone only and for shipment only to the US and AUS.
Now when my new 2.8GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display, 16GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM and 768GB Flash Storage gets here about the same time I'll be able to continue to use the apps that are not compatible with Mountain Lion.
