vmnic to vmnic directly mapped connectivity - network control protocols

I have not found a way to do this in either ESXi or Fusion/Workstation...

But I have run across a few instances in lab's that I am building for learning purposes, whereby I wanted to directly connect a VM vmnic to another VM vmnic interfaces; completely bypassing any vswitch in the middle.

Mostly this would allow for control plane protocol development across the network layer utilizing bpdu/lacp type features that a vswitch (native or distributed) will prevent.

Think of this like dynamips directly mapping two network devices to each other without an intervening switch.

Does anyone know how to do this in Fusion/ESXi?

If not, do we know of a feature request forum for Fusion / ESXi where we could request such features?

Thanks
