This morning I finally bit the bullet and upgraded from 4 to 5. After just three hours I have one issue that is driving me crazy. I'm running Win7 and Outlook 2010 in Unity. Outlook is in the background, and I have a Safari screen open in front of it. When a new email arrives, Outlook pops up the small blue notification box in the lower right hand side of the screen. Most of the time the email is junk, so I click the red X to delete the message immediately.
As far as I remember in Fusion 4 the main Outlook screen stayed in the background behind Safari when I did this (or at least it didn't interrupt my worflow). In 5, for some reason the appearance of the notifcation is forcing the whole main Outlook screen to gain focus and pulls the main screen to the front, hiding everything I'm doing.
In addition, sometimes just the appearance of the blue box pulls the whole Outlook app to the front. It happened twice when composing this post.
This is killing my productivity. Is there any way to turn this off, besides going back to Single Window view?
